The German capital of Berlin is a key site for both World Wars and the Cold War, and was the scene of a highly symbolic and historic reunification in 1989.

Across the 20th century, the city of Berlin has been a focal point for history and culture. A tour to Berlin can cover the events of a turbulent century, journeying through a capital city associated with liberalism, science, revolution, terror, war, division, reunification and hope. Its streets and buildings can tell the stories of the First and Second World Wars, the rise of Nazism, Allied liberation, the Cold War and the collapse of Communism.
