Our values

Over the last 25 years we have established a strong reputation for quality and consideration. We take great care over making sure our tours live up to your expectations, are comfortable and unforgettable for everyone.

We conduct prior research on all the sites we visit. Our tour managers and battlefield guides take care of all the arrangements in your destination country to ensure every traveller has an easy and enjoyable trip, including those with disabilities.

We aim to use only services that reflect the values appropriate to a leading national charity.

TRANSPORT AND ACCOMMODATION

We use a range of transport and accommodation to suit the worldwide nature of our travel. 

For travel to Europe we choose ferry, shuttle or flights, depending on the distance, convenience and cost. Our London walking tours include travel on public transport. 

We use a mixture of hotels and guest houses, depending on the group, the destination and the tour itinerary. We aim to offer the best value for money without sacrificing quality or comfort, so we use many family hotels that we have found provide outstanding service and value. Where 3-star accommodation is used we often use the Hotel Serapo Gaeta for our trips to southern Italy, and the Novotel and Mercure chain for our tours to Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

Hotel Serapo Gaeta
Overlooking the beautiful landscape of the Tirrenic Coast, Serapo Gaeta provides a comforting and peaceful stay. The hotel takes full advantage of its stunning location, with private beach, Terrace Restaurant and bar. The spacious facilities on offer also include private gardens and indoor swimming pool.

Hotel Novotel and Mercure
The Novotel and Mercure chain provide high standard accommodation across Europe. Hotels are generally close to town centres and sites of interest. Inviting, modern, spacious and comfortable they offer high quality dining and bars.
