There are 3 different search options available on this website.
Keyword Search
In the top right hand corner of each page, is a Keyword Search box. This search will search ALL the contents of the website both information and tour pages as well as documents for the term(s) you enter. It will only find whole words, not part of words.
Search for a Tour
In the right hand column of each page is the Search for a Tour option. This is designed for quick searches on tour details only. You can use just one or any number of the field options. The search fields are:
Destination: countries or regions that our tours visit. At the moment each tour can only have one destination assigned even if it goes to a number of countries.
Type: whether the tour is a Remembrance Tour (Pilgrimage) or Battlefield Tour
Month: select the month you are thinking of travelling
There is also a calendar option to select a particular day. Days with tours have links in the calendar.
Advanced Tour Search
From any tour programme listing, there is an option for an Advanced Search. This provides additional fields for searching. You can use as many or as few fields as you wish for your search. The more information you enter, the more restrictive the search will be. The fields available are:
Keyword search: this will only search the tour details. To search the whole website, use the Keyword Search in the top right hand corner of each page.
Date: it's not necessary to specify the whole date, you can search by just month or year if you wish
Type: whether the tour is a Remembrance Tour (Pilgrimage) or Battlefield Tour
Maximum Price: enter a value in whole pounds
Destination: countries or regions that our tours visit. At the moment each tour can only have one destination assigned even if it goes to a number of countries.
Theatre: areas of past conflicts eg Western Front, Far East.
Period: the time of conflict covered eg World War One
