Few people suffered more at the hands of the Nazis than the Polish. Our Remembrance Tour focuses on the courageous 1944 Warsaw Uprising when the Polish Home Army took on the occupying German forces. Encouraged by the Soviets - who kept their distance - the struggle lasted from August to October.
In contrast, we also visit the historic city of Krakow, untouched by war and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
And we experience the greatest evil of World War II, or perhaps any war - Auschwitz Birkenau. We believe that this concentration camp, where half a million people perished, should be visited to understand the enormity of their suffering and utter despair.
